Every day, scared and abandoned animals arrive at Guilford County Animal Shelter in need of comfort, safety, and hope. As the shelter continues operating at maximum capacity, the need for enrichment and stress relief has never been greater.
That’s why Friends of Guilford County Animal Shelter launched this year’s Annual Giving Campaign: Freedom to Thrive.
Our goal is to raise $40,000 to provide enrichment items that help shelter animals feel safe, engaged, and comforted while they wait for their forever homes. Items like Kongs, Benebones, toys, treats, and chew items may seem simple, but they make an incredible difference in reducing kennel stress and anxiety.
Enrichment is not a luxury — it helps animals decompress and regain trust.
Each week, hundreds of enrichment items are distributed to dogs and cats in the care of the shelter. With new animals arriving daily, the need never stops.
